ACOUSTAR MDL SHOWN

The ACOUSTAR "MD" and "MDL" are 3/4 size body guitars, with full 25 1/4" scale string length.  This unusual combination provides you with the smallest full scale travel guitar in the world.  The long string length produces amazing sound quality from the small body, and the unique back bracing improves the bass response by acting as an additional soundboard.  Balance is always an issue with small body guitars as the necks are generally heavier than the body, and the short length of the body does not provide shoulder strap attachment at the positions that will allow the instrument to balance.  To solve this problem, all small body ACOUSTAR guitars come with a shoulder strap extension rod that allows the body to stay in the correct attitude for playing.  The rod is not in your way, and unplugs quickly and easily for travel.

The ACOUSTAR "MD" features a laminated spruce top, and linden wood sides and back.  These are stained a beautiful light mahogany color, and the top and bottom edges are bound with cream colored celluloid.  That's a real inlaid soundhole ring, and the inside edge of the soundhole is also bound for protection.  The rosewood fingerboard has dot inlays with star inlays for the 12th fret.  The adjustable nut lets you set the string height at the 1st fret, for the easiest playing guitar possible.  The three included bridge saddles allow quick selection of low, medium, or high action.  The ACOUSTAR has the strongest neck available on any guitar, as there are no glue joints or undercuts, and is made from "hard maple."  Woodgrain runs continuous from the end of the headstock to the end of the fingerboard.

The ACOUSTAR "MDL" is a players guitar.  The "bookmatched" laminated spruce top, and beautiful "quilted" hard maple sides and back deliver the tone clarity so difficult to achieve in any acoustic guitar.  Fancy binding on the top, and single binding on the bottom and in the sound hole, give both beauty and protection.  The hard maple neck is capped with a hard maple fingerboard, and the headstock is capped with cross-grained maple for increased strength.  Spending a few minutes adjusting the nut height and selecting your desired action height using the three included bridge saddles will insure that your ACOUSTAR is the best playing guitar you ever owned.

All ACOUSTAR "M series" come complete with;

Finger capo, padded velcro neck wrap, velcro string wrap, three bridge saddles (lo, med, and hi,) tension rod adjustment wrench, ratchet wrench, shoulder strap, and beautiful padded "BACKPACK" carrying bag with extension for carrying the guitar when assembled.
